Office
Depot is proud to support a number of charities.
We
have supported Cancer Research, Children in Need and
the NSPCC, and each Office Depot location is given the
opportunity to regularly nominate and support local
charities.
Office
Depot has also contributed to a major cartridge
recycling programme for Tommy's, the baby charity. We
provide bags for customers to recycle their empty
inkjet cartridges and together we helped to raise over
£100,000 last year. This valuable cause gave us the
opportunity to fulfill both our environmental and
charitable commitments.
In
October 2002 the Office Depot Charity for Children was
established in Europe. It's mission: 'To impact the
quality of life for children, their education, health
and well-being. Our goal is to make a difference!'
All
charitable support is managed by a dedicated Office
Depot Charity Committee. Its role is to look after our
existing relationships with the charities mentioned
above; also to objectively assess on their individual
merits all new charitable requests that are presented
to us. This ensures that our financial support of
charitable causes remains objective, unbiased and
based upon group decision.
